Signaling X基于西門子成熟可靠的DS3平臺(tái)與Core Shield安全技術(shù),在客戶自主管控的DS3私有云端,實(shí)現(xiàn)安全關(guān)鍵功能與非安全關(guān)鍵功能的安全、可靠運(yùn)行。由此構(gòu)建的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化信號(hào)生態(tài),助力行業(yè)從依賴專用定制硬件的傳統(tǒng)系統(tǒng),轉(zhuǎn)向靈活高效的數(shù)字化信號(hào)應(yīng)用環(huán)境。

Siemens Mobility is positioning Signaling X as the backbone of a new, cloud-based era in rail signalling, bringing modular software architecture, standardised interfaces and embedded cybersecurity into a single digital platform. The company will be presenting the project at RailTech Europe, which gets under way tomorrow in Utrecht.

Rail signalling is entering a new technological era, one defined by software modularity, cloud integration, and intelligent data management. With Signaling X, Siemens Mobility ushers in this next generation of digital rail solutions: a cloud-based, hardware-independent signalling platform that unifies all mainline and urban automation systems in one seamless architecture.

Built on Siemens Mobility’s proven DS3 and CoreShield technology, Signaling X ensures the safe and secure operation of both safety-critical and non-safety-critical functions, in a customer-controlled private DS3 cloud. The resulting standardised signalling ecosystem enables a transition from systems depending on proprietary, purpose-dependent hardware to signalling applications in a flexible, high-performance digital environment.

Signaling X is built on four principles that together define the future of railway digitalisation. At its core lies a modular software architecture that provides a common computing platform for both mass transit and mainline applications. This modularity gives operators the flexibility to deploy, adapt, and scale their systems quickly, without costly reconfigurations or unnecessary downtime.

By moving signalling functions to the cloud, Signaling X centralises all essential data within a single signalling data centre, hosted on commercial off-the-shelf hardware. At its core, Signaling X is about efficiency. Running on high-performance multicore CPUs, the DS3 platform replaces proprietary hardware, saving space and streamlining installation and maintenance. Operators can achieve up to 20% higher operational efficiency and 15% lower capital expenditure (CAPEX), while its geo-redundant design, using two signalling data centres in separate locations, ensures full system availability even during updates. By decoupling hardware and software, operators can apply updates remotely, without interrupting service or impacting safety certification. Combined with advanced automation tools such as ATO over ETCS or GoA4 with CBTC, Signaling X boosts capacity by enabling more trains to operate safely with shorter headways.
