As World Book Day arrived as scheduled, ISA Tianhe successfully concluded the 9th Book Week series activities. With "In-depth Integration with STEAM" as its core, this Book Week innovatively created diverse and three-dimensional reading experience forms, allowing students to touch the texture of literature and feel the power of words through immersive interaction, and more vividly interpreted the core cultivation goal of "Risk-takers" in IB education. The school carefully designed a series of interesting and inquiry-based reading activities, breaking the one-way communication boundary of traditional reading, making every page turn and every immersive participation a wonderful journey for children to unlock new knowledge, encounter surprises and nourish their growth.

世界讀書日如期而至,愛莎天河圓滿落幕第九屆讀書周系列活動。本屆讀書周以“與科學(xué)探究深度融合”為核心內(nèi)核,創(chuàng)新打造多元立體的閱讀體驗形式,讓學(xué)生在沉浸式互動中觸摸文學(xué)肌理、感受文字力量,更鮮活詮釋了IB教育“敢于嘗試”的核心培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)。學(xué)校精心打磨一系列兼具趣味性與探究性的閱讀活動,打破傳統(tǒng)閱讀的單向傳播邊界,讓每一次書頁翻動、每一場沉浸式參與,都成為孩子們解鎖新知、邂逅驚喜、滋養(yǎng)成長的奇妙旅程。

These immersive activities not only enabled students to expand their reading boundaries and accumulate humanistic heritage in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, but also ignited the spark of imagination and creativity in practical experience. When children immersive themselves in the roles in books, and when classrooms are ingeniously transformed into vivid story scenes, reading is no longer a simple contact with words, but an immersive cultural journey and spiritual dialogue across time and space. This is the most vivid and intuitive practical embodiment of the two characteristics of "Knowledgeable" and "Open-minded" in the IB learner profile.

這些沉浸式活動,不僅讓學(xué)生在輕松愉悅的氛圍中拓寬閱讀邊界、積淀人文底蘊,更在實踐體驗中點燃想象力與創(chuàng)造力的火花。當(dāng)孩子們沉浸式化身書中角色,當(dāng)教室被巧思打造成鮮活故事場景,閱讀便不再是單純的文字觸碰,而是一場跨越時空的沉浸式文化漫游與心靈對話。這正是IB學(xué)習(xí)者培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)中,“知識淵博”與“胸襟開闊”兩大特質(zhì)最生動、最直觀的實踐體現(xiàn)。

Bookmark Design 書簽設(shè)計

Before the official opening of the Book Week, Ms. Yoyo, the Librarian, specially planned a bookmark design competition as a warm prelude to the event. This has been a classic reserved part of the school's Book Week for many years, carrying the love and expectations for reading from the ISA Tianhe community. With their imaginative creativity, students turned ordinary paper into artistic carriers of wonderful ideas—some bookmarks carefully depicted classic literary scenes, and some presented characters in books through three-dimensional paper-cutting. Each class selected the most popular designs, which were printed and made into bookmarks to share with community members. This ritualistic creative activity not only effectively ignited students' enthusiasm for participation, but also made children feel a sense of accomplishment.

在讀書周正式啟幕前,圖書館館長Ms. Yoyo特別策劃了一場書簽設(shè)計大賽,作為本屆讀書周的暖心前奏。這是學(xué)校讀書周多年來的經(jīng)典保留環(huán)節(jié),承載著愛莎天河社區(qū)對閱讀的熱愛與期待。學(xué)生們以天馬行空的創(chuàng)意為筆,將普通紙張化作承載奇思妙想的藝術(shù)載體——有的書簽精心繪制經(jīng)典文學(xué)場景,一筆一畫復(fù)刻書中溫情與震撼;有的則巧用立體剪紙工藝,讓書中角色躍然書簽之上,兼具創(chuàng)意與質(zhì)感?;顒悠陂g,各班級自主評選出最具人氣的設(shè)計作品,Ms. Yoyo將這些優(yōu)秀作品統(tǒng)一印刷制作成專屬書簽,用于與社區(qū)成員分享,讓閱讀的美好傳遞更遠(yuǎn)。這場充滿儀式感的創(chuàng)意活動,不僅有效點燃了學(xué)生們的參與熱情,更讓每一位參與者在創(chuàng)作與認(rèn)可中,真切收獲了滿滿的成就感與歸屬感。

Character Dressup 角色裝扮日

On Wednesday, teachers and students all dressed up as their favorite book characters and walked into the campus, becoming a vivid scenic spot in the campus. Everyone let go of their restraint, spoke freely, exchanged experiences and shared their favorite books and character stories, allowing the fragrance of books to flow in the interaction. This immersive role interaction not only brought them closer and enhanced their friendship in laughter, but also made the classic characters in books walk out of the words and into the campus, making the charm of reading tangible and perceptible.

讀書周的周三,師生們紛紛裝扮成自己喜愛的書中角色走進(jìn)校園,成為校園里一道靈動的風(fēng)景線。大家卸下拘謹(jǐn)、暢所欲言,互相交流心得、分享各自鐘愛的書籍與人物故事,讓書香在互動中流淌。這場沉浸式的角色互動,不僅讓他們在歡聲笑語中拉近了彼此距離、增進(jìn)了情誼,更讓書中的經(jīng)典角色走出文字、走進(jìn)校園,讓閱讀的魅力變得可觸可感。

Door Decoration 課室門裝飾

Classroom doors are transformed into Science Story Galleries. Teachers and students teamed up to showcase creativity. With a variety of materials, they decorated the doors around science themes, creating vivid and engaging science story scenes.

課室門變身科學(xué)故事畫廊。師生攜手迸發(fā)創(chuàng)意,巧用多元材料,圍繞科學(xué)主題精心裝飾,打造趣味十足的科學(xué)故事場景。

Author Visit 作家來訪

During the event, ISA Tianhe was honored to invite the internationally renowned writer Ms. Cristy Burne to visit the campus and deliver a keynote speech, presenting a both in-depth and interesting literary sharing session for the children. In the speech, Ms. Cristy Burne firmly captured the attention of every student with her humorous expression and vivid narration. She not only carefully shared her creative original intention and creative process, deciphering the inspiration code behind the words, but also interacted and communicated with the students kindly, answering their questions. This informative sharing activity narrowed the distance between students and well-known writers, allowed children to personally appreciate the demeanor of literature and feel the unique charm of words, and also planted the seeds of reading and creation in their hearts, effectively igniting their enthusiasm for reading and creative inspiration.

活動期間,愛莎天河有幸邀請到國際知名作家Cristy Burne女士蒞臨校園,開展主題演講,為孩子們呈現(xiàn)了一場兼具深度與趣味的文學(xué)分享會。演講中,Cristy Burne女士以幽默風(fēng)趣的表達(dá)、生動鮮活的講述,牢牢抓住每一位學(xué)生的注意力,不僅細(xì)致分享了自己的創(chuàng)作初心與創(chuàng)作歷程,拆解文字背后的靈感密碼,還親切地與學(xué)生們互動交流、答疑解惑。這場干貨滿滿的分享活動,拉近了學(xué)生與知名作家之間的距離,同時讓孩子們親身領(lǐng)略文學(xué)作品的風(fēng)采、感受文字的獨特魅力,更在他們心中種下了閱讀與創(chuàng)作的種子,有效點燃了孩子們的閱讀熱情與創(chuàng)作靈感。

Book Fair 書展

In the interactive session of the book fair, children in the EY1 selected their favorite books with the warm company of their parents, while children in other Early Years and Primary students completed independent book purchases, showing good independent ability. In the process of selecting books with peer assistance, children not only gradually developed the ability to judge age-appropriate reading materials, but also practiced cash transactions personally in the current era of popular digital payment, mastered basic transaction skills, and deeply understood the concept of monetary value, making the reading activity more practically educational.

書展互動環(huán)節(jié)中,小小班的孩子們在家長的暖心陪同下挑選心儀圖書,其他班級的幼兒園孩子與小學(xué)生則獨立完成自主購書,展現(xiàn)出良好的自主能力。在同伴互助的選書過程中,孩子們不僅逐步培養(yǎng)了選擇適齡讀物的判斷能力,更在數(shù)字支付普及的當(dāng)下,親身實踐現(xiàn)金交易,掌握了基礎(chǔ)交易技能,也深刻理解了貨幣的價值概念,讓閱讀活動更具實踐教育意義。

Buddy & Mystery Guest Reading

伙伴 & 神秘嘉賓閱讀

This Book Week featured wonderful Buddy and Mystery Guest Reading sessions. EY and Primary paired up for cross-age shared reading, while invited parent guests joined the classes as special readers. Children read together, shared thoughts and enjoyed immersive reading time with peers and family guests. The activity sparks reading enthusiasm, fosters good reading habits, strengthens cross-age communication, and enriches the interactive, connected atmosphere of the ISA Tianhe community.

本次讀書周特別開展伙伴與神秘嘉賓閱讀活動,幼兒園與小學(xué)班級跨齡結(jié)對共讀,同時邀請家長走進(jìn)課堂,擔(dān)任特邀閱讀嘉賓。孩子們結(jié)伴圍坐、共讀好書、分享感悟,在同伴陪伴與家長共讀的氛圍里感受閱讀樂趣。活動有效激發(fā)閱讀興趣、培養(yǎng)閱讀習(xí)慣,搭建跨齡溝通紐帶,進(jìn)一步凝聚校園氛圍,豐富愛莎天河社區(qū)互動活力。

ISA Charity Book Drive 書籍捐贈

Ms. Yoyo, the school librarian, also launched a "Charity Book Donation" activity to the whole community, calling on children to share books and pass on warmth. The activity received an enthusiastic response from the children, who took the initiative to donate their read high-quality books. Each book carries the children's kindness and love for reading. These books full of love and the fragrance of books will be uniformly sent to the needy charitable community libraries and rural libraries, bringing the joy of reading to more children, allowing knowledge and warmth to spread further, and letting the power of reading illuminate more growth paths.

圖書館館長Ms. Yoyo還面向全社區(qū)發(fā)起了“愛心捐書”活動,號召孩子們分享書籍、傳遞溫暖?;顒拥玫搅撕⒆觽兊姆e極響應(yīng),大家紛紛主動捐出自己讀過的優(yōu)質(zhì)書籍,每一本書都承載著孩子們的善意與對閱讀的熱愛。這些滿載愛心與書香的書籍,將被統(tǒng)一送往有需要的慈善社區(qū)圖書館及鄉(xiāng)村圖書館,讓知識與溫暖傳遞更遠(yuǎn),為更多渴望閱讀的孩子帶去書香與快樂,讓閱讀的力量照亮更多成長之路。



Through a wealth of Book Week activities, we strive to foster students’ holistic development under the IB education framework. We encourage children to engage in in-depth reading to gain knowledge, while stimulating their imagination and creativity. These creative activities, integrating public welfare and STEAM elements, allow students to savour the joy of reading, enhance reading comprehension, and cultivate teamwork, communication skills and social responsibility.
