澳門科技大學(xué)廖澤雲(yún)校監(jiān)委任朱健康講座教授為澳門科技大學(xué)副校監(jiān)及大學(xué)校長(zhǎng)，於2026年1月履新。

朱健康講座教授是國(guó)際著名分子遺傳學(xué)家和植物生物學(xué)家，美國(guó)科學(xué)院院士。在2024年愛(ài)思唯爾（Elsevier）發(fā)佈的「全球頂尖科學(xué)家排名」中，他於生命科學(xué)領(lǐng)域位列全球第一，充分表現(xiàn)了其頂尖的學(xué)術(shù)造詣與全球影響力。

朱健康講座教授於1993年獲得美國(guó)普渡大學(xué)植物生理學(xué)博士學(xué)位。他1994年加入美國(guó)奧本大學(xué)植物與微生物學(xué)系，1996年受聘美國(guó)亞利桑那大學(xué)植物科學(xué)系任教，並於2000年晉升為教授。2004年出任加州大學(xué)河濱分校整合基因組學(xué)研究所所長(zhǎng)，校長(zhǎng)講座教授和Jane Johnson講座教授。2009年擔(dān)任沙特阿卜杜拉國(guó)王科技大學(xué)（KAUST）植物逆境基因組研究中心主任。2010年當(dāng)選美國(guó)科學(xué)院院士，同年被普渡大學(xué)生物化學(xué)系與園藝及園林系聘為傑出教授。2011年出任中國(guó)科學(xué)院上海植物逆境生物學(xué)研究中心主任及首席科學(xué)家，其後於2022年起全職加入南方科技大學(xué)，任醫(yī)學(xué)院講席教授，前沿生物技術(shù)研究院院長(zhǎng)，農(nóng)業(yè)農(nóng)村部基因編輯創(chuàng)新利用重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室（海南）實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任，中國(guó)農(nóng)業(yè)科學(xué)院學(xué)術(shù)委員會(huì)副主任，深圳細(xì)胞與基因產(chǎn)業(yè)聯(lián)盟理事長(zhǎng)。

朱健康講座教授的學(xué)術(shù)貢獻(xiàn)卓著，主要從事新型基因編輯技術(shù)的開(kāi)發(fā)和應(yīng)用（生物育種、細(xì)胞與基因治療）、表觀遺傳學(xué)（DNA甲基化和去甲基化）、植物逆境生物學(xué)（植物抵禦乾旱、鹽堿、低溫等環(huán)境脅迫的分子機(jī)理）和新型生物刺激劑開(kāi)發(fā)等方面的研究，是這些領(lǐng)域的領(lǐng)軍科學(xué)家。他是Stress Biology、 The Innovation Life、Oral Science and Homeostatic Medicine共同主編，National Science Review、Journal of Integrative Plant Biology編委會(huì)編委，The Innovation、Research、Molecular Plant、Plant Communication、Horticulture Research編委顧問(wèn)組成員。在國(guó)際頂級(jí)期刊上發(fā)表了一系列奠基性論文，總被引用次數(shù)18.6萬(wàn)餘次，h指數(shù)204，連續(xù)多年入選全球「高被引科學(xué)家」名單，是世界自然科學(xué)領(lǐng)域發(fā)表文章引用率最高的科學(xué)家之一。2024年Elsevier發(fā)佈的「全球頂尖科學(xué)家排名」中，世界全學(xué)科年度影響力排名第46，生物學(xué)領(lǐng)域排名第1。

大學(xué)深信，在朱健康講座教授的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，憑藉其深厚的學(xué)術(shù)造詣、開(kāi)闊的國(guó)際視野與卓越的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)能力，將逐步完善基因編輯與合成生物學(xué)、食物與藥物創(chuàng)新等生命健康領(lǐng)域的學(xué)科體系建設(shè)，加速大學(xué)科研成果的孵化與轉(zhuǎn)化，推動(dòng)大學(xué)國(guó)際化進(jìn)程，深化與大灣區(qū)高校之間的聯(lián)動(dòng)協(xié)同，積極主動(dòng)融入和服務(wù)國(guó)家發(fā)展大局，為澳門高等教育與科技創(chuàng)新注入強(qiáng)勁動(dòng)力，開(kāi)啟大學(xué)高質(zhì)量發(fā)展的新篇章。

Dr. Liu Chak Wan, Chancellor of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), has appointed Chair Professor Jian-Kang Zhu to assume the position of Vice-Chancellor and President with effect from January 2026.

President-Designate Chair Professor Jian-Kang Zhu is a world-renowned molecular geneticist and plant biologist, as well as a member of the US National Academy of Sciences. In the 2024 “World's Top Scientists Ranking” released by Elsevier, he ranked first globally in the field of life sciences, fully demonstrating his exceptional academic accomplishments and worldwide influence.

Chair Professor Jian-Kang Zhu earned his Ph.D. in plant physiology from Purdue University in the United States in 1993. He joined the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology at Auburn University in 1994 and was appointed to the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Arizona in 1996, where he was promoted to professor in 2000. In 2004, he became the Director of the Institute for Integrative Genome Biology at the University of California, Riverside, and was appointed the Presidential Chair Professor and subsequently Jane Johnson Chair Professor. In 2009, he served as the Director of the Plant Stress Genomics Research Center at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. In 2010, he was elected to the US National Academy of Sciences. That same year, he was appointed Distinguished Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Purdue University. In 2011, he became the founding Director and Chief Scientist of the Shanghai Center for Plant Stress Biology Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 2022, he has been working full-time at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) as a Chair Professor in the School of Medicine, founding Director of the Institute of Advanced Biotechnology, Director of the Key Laboratory of Gene Editing Innovation (Hainan) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Vice Chair of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Chairman of the Shenzhen Cell and Gene Industry Alliance.

Chair Professor Jian-Kang Zhu has made outstanding academic contributions, primarily focusing on the development and application of novel gene editing technologies (plant and animal breeding, cell and gene therapy), epigenetics (DNA methylation and demethylation), plant stress biology (molecular mechanisms of plant resistance to environmental stresses such as drought, salinity, and low temperature), and the development of novel biostimulants. He has been a leading scientist in these fields. He serves as the co-editor-in-chief of Stress Biology, The Innovation Life, and Oral Science and Homeostatic Medicine, and as an editorial board member for National Science Review and Journal of Integrative Plant Biology. He is also a member of the editorial advisory board for The Innovation, Research, Molecular Plant, Plant Communication, and Horticulture Research. He has published a series of foundational papers in top international journals, with over 186,000 total citations and an h-index of 204. He has been consistently included in the list of “Highly Cited Scientists” globally and is one of the most highly cited scientists in the natural sciences worldwide. In the 2024 “World's Top Scientists Ranking” released by Elsevier, he ranked 46th globally in the overall annual influence across all disciplines and first in the field of biological sicences.
