Background of the Forum

近年來,清華大學積極推進全球化戰(zhàn)略,致力于培養(yǎng)國際化人才和加強國際合作交流,取得了諸多顯著成果,并在“更創(chuàng)新、更國際、更人文”的發(fā)展道路上穩(wěn)步前行。2017年4月,清華大學牽頭成立了亞洲大學聯盟(Asian Universities Alliance, AUA),標志著亞洲地區(qū)高等教育合作進入新的階段。聯盟推動15所頂尖高校深化科研、師生交流與課程協(xié)作,舉辦多場人工智能、可持續(xù)發(fā)展等前沿議題國際學術活動,構建亞洲高教共同體。

本次論壇以“可持續(xù)發(fā)展的亞洲愿景:創(chuàng)新與合作引領未來”為主題,匯聚人工智能和環(huán)境生態(tài)兩大方向的專家學者與研究生,共同探討可持續(xù)發(fā)展領域的前沿科技與未來挑戰(zhàn)。論壇旨在促進跨學科交流與合作,推動科技創(chuàng)新與社會責任相結合,為應對全球發(fā)展難題提供多元化解決方案。此次論壇植根于聯合國可持續(xù)發(fā)展目標(Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs),涵蓋消除貧困、應對氣候變化、保護環(huán)境資源等多個關鍵領域,旨在到2030年實現全球可持續(xù)發(fā)展,通過深入探討綠色創(chuàng)新和科技變革,致力于推動科技與社會的協(xié)同發(fā)展,促進環(huán)境保護與經濟增長并行,為全球可持續(xù)發(fā)展貢獻力量。本屆論壇將于2025年12月中旬在清華大學深圳國際研究生院舉行,現在全球范圍內向各界征文。

In recent years, Tsinghua University has actively advanced its globalization strategy, with a strong commitment to cultivating international talent and enhancing global cooperation and exchange. These efforts have yielded remarkable achievements, as the University steadily progresses on a development path characterized by greater innovation, internationalization, and humanistic values. In April 2017, Tsinghua University initiated the establishment of the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA), marking a new chapter in higher education collaboration across Asia. The Alliance has promoted deeper research collaboration, faculty and student exchanges, and joint curriculum development among 15 top universities, organizing multiple international academic events on cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence and sustainable development, thereby fostering a shared Asian higher education community.

This year’s forum, themed“An Asian Vision for Sustainable Development: Innovation and Collaboration for the Future”brings together experts, scholars, and graduate students in the fields of artificial intelligence and environmental ecology to explore cutting-edge technologies and future challenges in sustainable development. The forum aims to foster interdisciplinary exchange and cooperation, promote the integration of scientific innovation and social responsibility, and offer diverse solutions to global development challenges.Rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the forum addresses key areas such as poverty eradication, climate change mitigation, and environmental protection. It aspires to contribute to the global agenda for sustainable development by 2030 through in-depth discussions on green innovation and technological transformation. By facilitating the synergy between science and society and encouraging the parallel development of environmental protection and economic growth, the forum seeks to make a meaningful contribution to the global sustainable development effort.

The 2025 edition of the forum will be held in mid-December at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School. A global call for papers is now open to participants from all sectors.

Introduction :

Frontiers of Environmental Science &Engineering is a compre-hensive academic journal in the field of environment co-sponsored by Higher Education Press, Chinese Academy of Engineering and Tsinghua University, with Academician Qu Jiuhui and Academician JonhCrittenden as the current editors-in-chief.

The journal focuses on cutting-edge issues and research results in the field of environment, focuses on pioneering and interdisciplinary research, and is characterized by cutting-edge leadership, scientific theory and application support, integrating and fusing science and engineering, and is committed to building a high-level academic communication platform with international influence.

The journal has been included in SCIE, EI, SCOPUS, China Science Citation Database, China Science and Technology Core Journals and other important Chinese and foreign journals databases, and has been continuously supported by the Action Plan for Excellence in Chinese Science and Technology Journals, and has been awarded the honors of Top 100 Science and Technology Journals of China's Universities and China's Most Internationally Influential Academic Journals, and so on.

AI Empowering Sustainable Development

1.具身智能與機器人前沿探索:面向復雜真實環(huán)境,研究工業(yè)、空間、海洋等領域機器人的自主設計、高精度空間感知與實時決策,以及多模態(tài)融合的智能控制策略,探索高效的具身數據生成、合成與模擬技術,加速機器人在極端環(huán)境作業(yè)、人機協(xié)作及社會服務中的應用。

1.Embodied Intelligence and Frontier Robotics:This theme addresses the autonomous design of robots operating in complex and realistic environments across sectors such as industry, aerospace, and marine applications. Research areas include high-precision spatial perception, real-time decision-making, and multimodal integrated intelligent control strategies. It also explores efficient techniques for embodied data generation, synthesis, and simulation to accelerate robotic applications in extreme environments, human-robot collaboration, and social services.

2.人工智能與數據賦能:聚焦大規(guī)模數據驅動下的高效分布式訓練和推理算法、面向領域智能的大模型構建與優(yōu)化,探索人工智能在工業(yè)制造、環(huán)境監(jiān)測、災害預警等領域的交叉應用,推動智能化解決方案的創(chuàng)新與落地。

2.Artificial Intelligence and Data Empowerment:Focusing on large-scale, data-driven systems, this topic explores efficient distributed training and inference algorithms, as well as the development and optimization of large foundation models for domain-specific intelligence. It emphasizes the cross-disciplinary applications of AI in industrial manufacturing, environmental monitoring, and disaster early warning, aiming to drive the innovation and implementation of intelligent solutions.

3.低空經濟與立體交通:關注城市立體化交通體系,研究無人機智能化自主飛行、大規(guī)模無人集群的高效協(xié)同與安全管控,探索面向低空管控的高帶寬、高可靠無線光通訊技術,推動低空經濟在智慧物流、環(huán)境探測等領域的創(chuàng)新與可持續(xù)發(fā)展。

3.Low-Altitude Economy and Three-Dimensional Mobility:This theme explores urban aerial transportation systems, intelligent autonomous flight of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), efficient coordination and safety management of large UAV swarms, and high-bandwidth, high-reliability optical wireless communication technologies for low-altitude airspace control, promoting innovation and sustainable development in smart logistics and environmental sensing.

4.智能制造與高端裝備:面向高端裝備的智能化與自主化,研究微納尺度下的精密制造技術、工藝與裝備,聚焦工業(yè)裝配領域的自動化、柔性化與智能化,探討如何利用人工智能與先進機器人技術提升生產效率與資源利用率,賦能制造業(yè)智能化和可持續(xù)發(fā)展。

4.Intelligent Manufacturing and Advanced Equipment:Focusing on the intelligence and autonomy of high-end equipment, this area investigates precision manufacturing technologies, processes, and devices at micro- and nano-scales. It also covers automation, flexibility, and intelligence in industrial assembly, and the integration of AI and advanced robotics to enhance production efficiency and resource utilization, supporting the intelligent and sustainable transformation of the manufacturing industry.

可持續(xù)發(fā)展:經濟-社會-生態(tài)系統(tǒng)

Sustainable Development: Economy Society Ecosystem

1.氣候變化響應與碳循環(huán)調控:聚焦人類生產活動對碳排放收支與氣候變化的影響,碳捕集與利用技術、生物質能源轉化及城市低碳排放策略等相關研究,推動碳中和路徑的構建與評估。

1.Climate Change Response and Carbon Cycle Regulation:This topic focuses on the impacts of human industrial and economic activities on carbon balance and climate systems. It includes research on carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technologies, biomass energy conversion, and low-carbon strategies for urban development, with the aim of supporting the design and evaluation of carbon neutrality pathways.

2.生態(tài)系統(tǒng)保護與修復工程:關注生態(tài)退化系統(tǒng)的識別與綜合修復,涵蓋流域、濱海、城市生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的結構功能恢復,自然基礎解決方案在生態(tài)安全格局構建中的應用,促進區(qū)域生態(tài)韌性與可持續(xù)發(fā)展能力提升。

2.Ecosystem Conservation and Restoration Engineering:Emphasizing the identification and integrated restoration of degraded ecosystems, this theme covers the structural and functional recovery of watershed, coastal, and urban ecosystems. It also highlights the application of nature-based solutions in building ecological security patterns, aiming to enhance regional ecological resilience and sustainable development capacity.

3.環(huán)境污染控制與資源循環(huán)利用:面向多介質復合污染治理與廢棄物資源化,包括污染物識別、遷移轉化、綠色材料開發(fā)及過程強化技術,構建污染控制與資源回收協(xié)同體系,服務環(huán)境質量改善與循環(huán)經濟發(fā)展需求。

3.Pollution Control and Resource Recycling:This area addresses the treatment of multi-media and compound pollution, along with the resource utilization of waste. Topics include pollutant identification, migration and transformation processes, development of green materials, and process intensification technologies. The goal is to establish integrated systems for pollution control and resource recovery, serving the dual needs of environmental quality improvement and circular economy advancement.

Target Audience

亞洲大學聯盟及粵港澳大灣區(qū)高校從事相關領域研究的青年學者及博士后、博士研究生、碩士研究生。

Young scholars, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, and master's students from member universities of the Asian Universities Alliance and institutions within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area who are engaged in relevant research fields.

征文要求

Submission Requirements

契合本屆論壇主題的中文或英文論文,體現多元學科視角。投稿文章應為投稿者為主要完成者(投稿人須為論文第一作者)的截至投稿之日前一年內的原創(chuàng)成果,不要求未發(fā)表,論文格式符合國際期刊學術要求。中文論文字數宜在1萬字左右,英文論文詞數宜在6000詞左右。

Submissions should be original research papers, in either Chinese or English, aligned with the theme of this year’s forum and reflecting interdisciplinary perspectives. The submitting author must be the primary contributor and the first author of the paper. The research must be an original outcome completed within one year prior to the submission deadline.Prior publication is not a disqualifier.All papers should adhere to international academic journal formatting standards. Chinese papers should be approximately 10,000 characters; English papers should be around 6,000 words.

About the Forum

報名參加本次論壇的參會人員需于2025年8月15日前提交報名表、論文稿件原文及一份150-300字的摘要至郵箱auaforum2025_sigs@163.com進行初審,郵件主題以“2025AUA+院校+姓名+題目”命名,并選擇如下其中一種形式進行成果展示。

Participants intending to join the forum must submit the registration form, the full text of the paper, and a 150–300-word abstract via email toauaforum2025_sigs@163.comno later than August 15, 2025. The email subject should follow the format:“2025AUA + University Name + Full Name + Paper Title.”Participants should choose one of the following formats to present their research.

Part 1 學術海報展示

Part 1: Academic Poster Exhibition

采取學術海報展示的學者,需準備一張尺寸為120 x 90 cm,分辨率150 dpi的豎版科研海報(每人最多提交1張)。

Participants selecting the poster format must prepare one vertical scientific research poster (maximum one per person) with dimensions 120 × 90 cm and a resolution of 150 dpi.

Part 2 學術口頭演講

Part 2: Academic Oral Presentations

采取現場口頭演講的學者,需準備10分鐘的學術成果演講PPT,于論壇期間進行口頭演講。

Participants selecting the oral presentation format must prepare a 10-minute PowerPoint presentation to be delivered during the forum.

論壇組委會將通過郵件形式于9月下旬發(fā)布論文入選通知,入選的參會人員需于2025年10月10日(周五)17:30(UTC+8)之前將電子版參賽海報或口頭演講PPT發(fā)送至auaforum2025_sigs@163.com。

The forum organizing committee will notify selected participants via email in late September. Selected participants must submit the final electronic version of their poster or oral presentation PPT toauaforum2025_sigs@163.comby17:30 (UTC+8), Friday, October 10, 2025.
